What is a centrifugal turret?

A centrifugal turretis a roof extractor designed to bemounted on top of an air duct or ventilation unit. It is used in ventilation and air extraction systems to remove gases or fumes from a confined space, such as an industrial environment or commercial facility, either directly or via a vertical duct. It offers a robust, reliable solution for ensuring air quality and safety in industrial and commercial environments.

What is a centrifugal turret?

A centrifugal extraction turret generally consists of a centrifugal fan mounted on a central shaft. This fan is equipped with a backward impeller which captures the air inside the turret and projects it outwards at high speed.
When the centrifugal fan is activated, it creates a centrifugal force which draws stale air or fumes inside the turret. The fan blades accelerate the air outwards, creating a vacuum inside the turret and extracting the gases or fumes from the space to be ventilated.
Once the gases or fumes have been captured, they are evacuated outside the building through an exhaust duct. This duct may be connected to a chimney system or to a specific exhaust system designed for the gases or fumes in question.

Applications

Centrifugal turrets are widely used in industrial, commercial and residential ventilation systems, including buildings such as warehouses, factories, shopping centers, hospitals, schools and offices. They are often used in industrial environments where large quantities of gases or fumes need to be safely evacuated.
